DOING OUR PART
Every business is nested within a set of environmental, social and economic constraints. Where some might see barriers, we look for opportunities. For QuadReal, constraints inspire innovation and fuel our entrepreneurial spirit. We are committed to net-zero carbon by 2050 for all the assets we manage in alignment with science-based carbon reduction goals. We hope this commitment will help us unlock new thinking, new synergies and new partnerships. We aim to earn trust and to help our tenants and residents flourish, and our neighbours thrive. We want to do our part.

DOING OUR PART MEANS MEETING STANDARDS OF EXCELLENCE IN REAL ESTATE SUSTAINABILITY
Our goal is to continue scoring in the top quartile of GRESB. Our properties have achieved green certification at over 95% of the Canadian portfolio. We are proactive with our international partners, encouraging and rewarding excellence in sustainability. Transparency is at our core. We openly share our progress by publishing the energy, water and carbon emissions data per building through our interactive map and leasing webpages. We also showcase the types of analysis we find useful to drive continuous improvement in our management of energy, water and waste at a portfolio level. Doing our part means excellence in performance and transparency.
As part of our commitment to transparency, we publicly share benchmarked energy, water and carbon emissions data for our buildings across Canada.
Over 95% of our Canadian portfolio has achieved green certification. Explore our interactive map to learn about our properties and their performance.
We believe in continuous learning as a path to progress. We therefore analyze and present data in unique ways and generate scenarios that challenge the status quo.
CREATING A LOW-CARBON FUTURE
How do we know if we have done enough? In our interviews with global thought leaders, they repeatedly identified climate change as the most significant threat facing the real estate sector and is therefore the greatest opportunity for QuadReal to make a difference. In 2016, we set a goal to achieve an 80% reduction in carbon emissions across our operations in Canada by 2050. Since then, QuadReal has demonstrated leadership in reducing carbon emissions across its Canadian portfolio. Through our updated commitment to net-zero carbon by 2050, we will use key learnings to accelerate and deepen our sustainability goals in both our Canadian and global assets.

WE WORK WITH OTHERS BECAUSE OPPORTUNITIES ARE BETTER TACKLED TOGETHER
Collaboration catalyzes greater impact. This is why we proudly support the work of BOMA Canada, the Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB), REALPAC, the Canadian and United States Green Building Councils, Fitwel, the Center for Active Design and the Embedding Project. We believe we can accelerate change by sharing best practices and working together on sector initiatives. This approach will create lasting positive change in the communities where we develop and manage properties. Now and for generations to come.
While we work toward our sustainability goals, it is also important for us to consider health and wellness. We are proud of our partnership with the Center for Active Design and Fitwel, which has developed to encompass certification, education and research. Together, our teams have created free resources that help tenants, employees and landlords collaborate to create workspaces that promote occupant health and wellbeing. This includes The Office Guide to Building Health, A Better Box: Optimizing Industrial Spaces for Employee Health and Wellness and Health Drives Value in Real Estate.
