Our Approach to ESG
In support of our commitment to building stronger communities, QuadReal has a teamwide dedication to integrating environmental, social and governance (ESG) into the company’s core activities. These include our corporate, global real estate and debt management, due diligence and investing activities. One of the key ways we hold ourselves accountable is by benchmarking our ESG performance through the Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB).
This commitment extends beyond our four walls. As a Responsible Company, we are involved members of the communities where we live, work and invest. We work to advance the quality of life to our communities through our actions, including many touchpoints of charitable giving and local engagement.

Doing Our Part
Doing our part means striving for excellence in performance and transparency. Our goal is to continue scoring in the top quartile of GRESB and prioritizing excellence in sustainability, health and wellness—including our updated strategic pathway to net zero. As part of our commitment to transparency, we publicly share benchmarked energy, water and carbon emissions data for our buildings across Canada and we showcase the types of analysis we find useful to drive continuous improvement.

GRESB 2023 Performance
GRESB, a global sustainability benchmarking organization, has recognized our strong commitment to ESG transparency. Our Canadian portfolio achieved 3rd place in Canada and 6th in the Americas in the diversified category.
2022 Fitwel Best in Building Health Awards
Awarded the Industry Thought Leadership and Fitwel Promise Awards for Most Benchmarked Projects. In addition, we achieved the 2021 Highest Score in the Commercial Site v2.1 (Built) category for Southcore Financial Centre and in Commercial Site v2.1 (Design) category for World Exchange Plaza.
