Shawn Gilligan

Vice President, Canadian Research & Strategy

Shawn Gilligan joined QuadReal in July 2017. As Vice President, Canadian Research & Strategy, he leads the Canadian research team with a focus on strategic analysis and global macroeconomic trends in support of QuadReal’s domestic investment objectives.

With over 11 years of experience in analyzing economic conditions and their implications for Canadian real estate markets, Shawn brings a deep understanding of the factors driving real estate market performance to the development of QuadReal’s investment strategies.

Prior to joining QuadReal, he held various leadership positions managing teams of researchers specializing in macroeconomic forecasting and real estate investment markets in North America. He began his career at the Martin Prosperity Institute, an economic think tank at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management.

Shawn holds a Master’s Degree from York University and a Bachelor of Arts with Honours from the University of Toronto.
